Five published datasets
The panel checks conservation areas, listed buildings, Article 4 direction areas, tree preservation zones and green belt through the government Planning Data service. Each result links to its published entity record.
A postcode is not a property boundary
Matching uses the location returned for the postcode. That point is not necessarily the house, garden, building or plot you are investigating. Read the source geometry and relevant council documents before drawing a conclusion.
An empty result is not an all-clear
Coverage and publication vary. Missing results do not show that a property is unrestricted. A newly observed or changed dataset record does not, by itself, prove that a new legal restriction has been introduced.
Use the official source
The connected Planning Data designation service covers England. For property-specific questions, consult the relevant council’s records and obtain appropriate advice.
