What the panel shows
Curtain Twitch queries HM Land Registry Price Paid Data for the exact postcode, showing up to the latest 200 records returned. You can filter by property type and sale period, then open the source record.
Nearby sales in the postcode report
The separate postcode report first checks the exact postcode. If that returns no sales, it checks up to three nearby postcode points within 500 metres and shows up to 200 of the latest returned transactions. Each neighbouring sale is labelled with its own postcode. This is a small sample, not a complete radius search; the displayed distance is between postcode points rather than house locations. Failed neighbouring queries are identified as incomplete results.
Read dates carefully
The sale date and the date we first observe a record are different things. A newly observed sale may have happened months or years earlier. Corrections can also change a record after it appears.
Compare like with like
The median shown by Curtain Twitch summarises the matching records when at least three are available. Different homes, sizes, tenures and sale dates can sit in the same postcode. The figure is not an estimate of a specific home’s value or a measure of price growth.
Coverage and source
This connection covers England and Wales. No records returned can mean there are no matching records in this query; it does not establish that no sale occurred. A failed request is shown separately from an empty result.
